This Privacy Policy describes how AcelRoll ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application.
Summary
AcelRoll is designed to work offline. We do not operate servers that collect your personal data. The App stores a small amount of information locally on your device for gameplay and settings.
Information We Collect
Information stored on your device
The App stores the following data in your device's internal app storage (SharedPreferences):
- High score — your single best score value.
- Settings — control mode (tilt or touch zones), steering strength, touch zone hint preferences, sound on/off, whether you have played before, and optional debug mode preference.
This data is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Information processed but not stored
Accelerometer data — when you use tilt controls (the default), the App reads accelerometer input in real time to steer the ball. This sensor data is processed on your device only and is not collected, stored, or sent off the device. Touch zone mode does not use the accelerometer.
Information we do not collect
The App does not:
- Require an internet connection for gameplay
- Use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs
- Collect account information, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone or camera data
- Request access to your contacts, calendar, or files outside the App
If we add features that collect additional data (for example, ads, in-app purchases, or online leaderboards), we will update this policy before or when those features are released.
How We Use Information
Local data is used only to:
- Display your personal best score
- Remember your settings between sessions
- Optionally show debug overlays when debug mode is enabled
We do not use your data for profiling, marketing, or sale to third parties.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Data may be disclosed only if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Data Retention and Deletion
App data remains on your device until you clear the App's data in Android Settings or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored App data from your device.
Android Backup
The App may allow Android's backup feature (android:allowBackup) to include App data in device backups managed by Google or your device manufacturer, depending on your device settings. We do not control how backup providers store or restore that data.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at privacy@anchorsystem.dev and we will help you remove locally stored data by guiding you through clearing App data or uninstalling.
Security
Because data stays on your device, its security also depends on your device settings, screen lock, and physical access controls. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
International Users
If you use the App from any region, your device's local storage remains on your device; we do not transfer personal data to our servers with the current version of the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Material changes may also be noted in the App or on our store listing where appropriate.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. With the current version of the App, all stored data is on your device and can be removed via Android Settings or by uninstalling the App.
